* Brief CV Henry Prakken:
I am a 'docent/onderzoeker' (english: 'lecturer', american: 'assistant
professor') at the Intelligent Systems Group of the computer science
department at Utrecht University. I hold master
degrees in law (1985) and philosophy (1988) from the University of
Groningen. In 1993 I obtained my PhD degree at the Free University Amsterdam
with a thesis titled Logical Tools for Modelling Legal Argument. I am
interested in logical foundations of common-sense reasoning, and in the
application of Artificial Intelligence to legal reasoning, dispute
resolution, group decision making and negotiation. Homepage:

I am a 'docent/onderzoeker' (english: 'lecturer', american: 'assistant
professor') at the Intelligent Systems Group of the computer science
department at Utrecht University.
I hold a master degree in mathematics from the Vrije University of
Amsterdam. In 1993
I obtained my PhD degree at the Free University Amsterdam with a thesis
titled Studies
in Defeasible Argumentation. I am interested in the principles and

Degrees: 1998: Master's degree in computer science, at the Vrije
Universiteit. Winner of the annual thesis award of the Dutch Association of
IT-professionals (NGI) 2004 (precise date yet to be set): PhD at the
computer science department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Positions:
march 1998 - august 2003: PhD student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Also restructured and taught the course on database theory. From February
2004: postdoc at the Intelligent Systems section of the Computer Science
